HISTORY
For 20 years, João Carvalho (Beach Break® CEO), planned, managed and produced events.
Starting at the student’s association, with only 17 years old, he took the leadership of a small group of friends and created some of the best local beach parties ever. 2 years after, in 2005, he joined his University Student’s Association at the Cultural Department to produce a 2 days party for around 30000 people. From then on, João worked at Festivals such as Rock in Rio Lisboa 2008, Cool Jazz Fest 2010, Sudoeste 2010, Utopia 2010 (After Boom), among other smaller self-produced events.
In 2012, João started Beach Break® in order to market his work at events management and production, on one hand, and to create a local accommodation for tourists which endured for 5 years. Since then, Beach Break® offered services for Festivals such as Glastonbury Festival 2013, 2014 & 2015, Secret Garden Party 2013 & 2014, Boom Festival 2014 & 2016, NOS Alive 2017, FMM Sines 2017, Vilar de Mouros 2017, among other smaller self-produced events.
